Required accessibility clearances for the latch side approach of a door consist of a pull side requiring a minimum sixty-inch approach perpendicular to the opening and a minimum twenty-four-inch approach beyond the latch. The push side requires a minimum forty-four-inch approach, increasing to a minimum forty-eight-inch approach if the door is equipped with a closer, along with a minimum twenty-four-inch clearance beyond the latch.
