Stair nosing profiles define the geometry and dimensional tolerances for tread depth and riser angles. The angled nosing configuration specifies a maximum projection of 1 1/4 inch at a 60-degree angle, with a maximum 7-inch riser height and an 11-inch minimum tread depth. Additional configurations show flush risers with a 1/2-inch maximum radius, round nosings, and slip-resistant striping placed within 1 inch of the tread edge with a 2-inch minimum strip width.
