A six-inch steel pipe filled with concrete extends forty-two inches minimum above the top of the paving or floor surface and is painted safety yellow. The steel pipe is supported by a two-foot-diameter concrete footing with four number four bars welded to the pipe at its base. The assembly maintains the minimum code-required guard height of forty-two inches from the adjacent floor surface.
