An exterior handicapped parking sign assembly is installed at an asphalt paving area over gravel fill. The sign consists of a 1 foot by 1 foot 6 inch aluminum reserved parking sign mounted to a 1 inch by 1 inch preformed galvanized steel tubing post. The post slips into a larger 2 inch by 2 inch preformed galvanized steel tubing sleeve set inside a 12 inch diameter concrete base embedded 3 feet deep. Six inch long anchor bars run each way through the tubing within the concrete foundation for stability. Detail A and Detail B show the specific bolted connections using threaded corner bolts with seat locking nuts at the sign mounting and post sleeve junctions.
