A square isolation joint is cast into a concrete slab around a centered circular core with radiating longitudinal or transverse joints and type C joints extending outward. Number four rebar measuring thirty inches in length is placed diagonally at all four corners of the isolation joint. The slab features a typical six-foot by six-foot spacing with dimensions indicating a six-inch offset from the joint intersection.
