A quartz countertop and backsplash are supported by steel angle brackets mounted to doubled-up wall studs spaced at forty-eight inches on center. The support framing consists of a three-by-three-by-one-quarter-inch steel angle base welded to a one-and-one-half-by-three-by-one-quarter-inch angle twenty-eight inches long. This bracket assembly is secured to the wall framing using four three-eighths-inch bolts. One-by intermediate horizontal braces are positioned at the front and back beneath the counter. The top of the counter is set at two feet ten inches above the floor finished level. Any exposed edges that do not abut a wall receive a finished edge.
