An internally lit exit sign is powered by an emergency power system and remains illuminated at all times. The sign features letters with a height of six inches minimum, letter spacing of three-eighths of an inch minimum, stroke spacing of three-quarters of an inch minimum, and a stroke width of two inches minimum except for the letter "I".
