A structural column base plate is detailed with triangular gusset stiffeners welded to the column web and base plate. The assembly features two-inch dimensional offsets from the edge of the plate to the column face and a six-inch vertical reference dimension. The steel base plate provides anchorage and load transfer for the vertical structural member.
