The Type III barricade consists of three horizontal rails marked with nine-inch-wide alternating orange and white stripes angled at forty-five degrees. The rails measure eight to twelve inches in height, with twenty-inch vertical spacing between them, spanning a minimum length of four feet. Low-intensity flashing amber lights are mounted to the top supports, establishing a minimum overall height of five feet from the ground.
