Doors feature a lever or U-shaped handle positioned thirty-six to forty-two inches above the finished floor. The bottom rail requires a minimum height of twelve inches or the installation of a kick plate to protect against wheelchair impacts. A rubber bumper is located on the wheelchair footrest to prevent damage to the door surface.
