A concrete footing is supported from below by vertical Geopier ground improvement elements embedded within soil. The adjacent sloped excavation maintains specified limits of disturbance, positioned at two-foot-six-inch and five-foot-zero-inch offsets from the footing edge with a two-to-one or one-to-one slope ratio. Footings must be supported by Geopier elements, and adjacent excavations must remain outside the indicated disturbance zone unless the designer is notified.
