A one-and-a-half-inch diameter grab bar is secured to a metal stud wall using a mounting flange with three number twelve by one-and-five-eighths-inch type S vandal-resistant oval head sheet metal screws. The screws anchor through the mounting flange and finish into a type C metal backing plate installed between the studs. A bushing is provided for full bearing at each screw location within the flange. Wall types are referenced to the architectural floor plans.
