A metal stud partition base connects to the top of a structural concrete slab using a bottom track anchored with 0.145-inch shot pins at twenty-four inches on center with a six-inch maximum from ends. Gypsum wallboard is applied vertically and attached with number six type S one-and-one-eighth-inch screws spaced at eighteen inches around the perimeter and twelve inches on center at intermediate studs per ICC report ESR-3064P. Continuous batt insulation fills the stud cavity, and continuous firestop sealant is applied at the floor joint.
