A steel pipe penetrates through a framed wall with gypsum board layers on both faces. An annular space around the pipe is filled with void material and sealed at the exterior boundaries. The assembly includes numbered callouts identifying the structural substrate, gypsum layers, pipe, fill material, and sealant.
