Swinging door approach dimensions require a minimum sixty-inch approach in the direction of travel and a forty-eight-inch minimum clear space approaching from the opposite direction. The latch side requires twenty-four inches of minimum clearance at exterior doors and eighteen inches at interior doors. Provide a twelve-inch minimum clearance on the push side alongside additional clearance when the door is equipped with both a latch and a closer.
