Metal pipes, steel conduit, and electrical metallic tubing penetrate a gypsum wall assembly with a maximum diameter of two inches. The installation must comply with Underwriters Laboratories system W-L-1389. Annular spaces are sealed using Hilti FS-One Max firestop sealant applied at both faces of the partition. Acceptable pipe types include steel pipe schedule 5 or heavier, steel conduit, and electrical metallic tubing.
