An internally lit exit sign features letter sizing and spacing requirements with a minimum height of 6 inches, a stroke spacing of 3/8 inch minimum, and a 2 inch minimum letter width except for the letter "I". The sign includes a top and side margin of 3/4 inch minimum. The internally lit sign is powered by the emergency power system and is required to remain illuminated at all times.
