An eight-inch standard steel pipe is set in concrete and filled with concrete to form a protective bollard extending four feet above the finish grade. The pipe is seven feet long overall and anchored within a one-foot eight-inch diameter concrete footing that extends two feet eight inches below grade. Four reinforcing bars of size number four are welded to the pipe with fillet welds and embedded in the footing. A concrete cap seals the top of the pipe, and the bollard paint color is coordinated with the owner.
