The edge of a concrete slab bears on a granular subbase with an adjacent wood form stake. A bond breaker membrane designated as E.Shield 205 is applied between the spray-applied coating and the concrete slab to prevent adhesion. The vertical wood form stake is driven into the subgrade adjacent to the slab edge. Waterproofing and vapor barrier layers wrap beneath and up the side of the concrete slab.
