A through-penetration firestop system is installed at a duct passing through a floor or wall assembly. The penetrant is wrapped with duct wrap materials bearing the UL classification mark and secured with steel banding straps. Packing material and fill, void, or cavity material seal the annular space between the duct and the surrounding construction.
