A cast-in-place concrete curb measuring fourteen inches in height and six inches in width rests on an eight-inch minimum Type G compacted base course and a properly prepared subgrade. The top corner of the curb features a one-and-a-half-inch radius. Longitudinal reinforcement consists of two number four reinforcing bars spaced at eight inches on center. Pavement abuts the curb with specific vertical clearances indicated. Contraction joints are spaced at ten feet, and half-inch premolded joint filler is placed at the back of the curb and at sixty-foot maximum spacing.
