This section detail shows a ramp surface terminating at a drop-off with an optional two-inch minimum warning curb and horizontal railing. The top handrail is positioned between thirty-four and thirty-eight inches above the ramp surface. A forty-two inch minimum guardrail is required if the ramp height exceeds thirty inches. A four-inch minimum high warning curb is required if a drop-off of more than six inches exists between the ramp surface and adjacent grade.
