A six-inch steel pipe filled with concrete and painted safety yellow stands on a ten-inch square by one-quarter-inch thick steel base plate. The base plate rests on a one-quarter-inch neoprene pad above the top of the paving or floor surface and is secured with four five-eighths-inch diameter anchor bolts with washers. An eight-inch thickened slab is provided at the bollard, except at existing floors or paving where the thickened slab requirement is removed. Joint sealant is applied all around the base plate.
