This plan detail shows the required ADA maneuvering clearances for a push-side door approach from the hinge side. A twelve-inch minimum clearance is required past the latch side when a closer and latch are provided. A twenty-two-inch minimum clearance is specified on the push side opposite the hinge. Overall clear width dimensions include forty-two inches minimum, and forty-eight inches minimum with a closer.
