The bottom metal track is anchored to the top of the structural slab using 0.145-inch shot pins embedded 1 inch minimum at 24 inches on center, with a maximum of 6 inches from ends per ICC schedule. Gypsum board is applied vertically and attached with number 6 Type S 1-1/8-inch self-drilling screws, maintaining a minimum 1 inch embedment at 18 inches around the perimeter and 12 inches on center at intermediate studs per ICC ESR-3064P. Batt insulation fills the wall cavity, and continuous firestop sealant is applied at the floor junction for a two-hour shaft-rated assembly based on UL System Number U428. Wall finish and floor finish are installed per schedule.
