A six-inch steel pipe is filled with concrete and painted safety yellow, extending forty-two inches minimum above the top of paving or floor surface. Four number four by four inch reinforcing bars are welded to the pipe and embedded within a two-foot diameter concrete footing. The assembly complies with building code requirements for guardrail height relative to the adjacent floor surface.
