A threaded rod is secured through the web of a wide flange steel beam with a nut, supporting a side-beam fire sprinkler attachment clip positioned a maximum of two-and-one-half inches below the top flange. A separate threaded rod fastens a strut channel hanger to the bottom flange of a steel beam with a one-inch offset from the edge. The system provides structural support points for fire protection piping suspended beneath overhead structural steel framing.
