System piping connects to a normally open valve above a threaded increaser leading into the main drum drip reservoir. A threaded reducer at the bottom of the drum drip transitions to a normally closed valve. The drain piping continues downward and routes to an approved location. A note specifies to provide the smallest sprinkler head orifice on the dry system for testing when required by National Fire Protection Association standards.
