A standpipe riser pipe extends vertically through a concrete floor slab, connecting downward to the standpipe supply main sized as required. The floor penetration is sealed according to architectural details and specifications. Above the floor slab, a two-and-a-half-inch hose connection equipped with a locking Knox cap branches off the riser.
