An intelligent smoke detector is mounted to a Notifier B300-6 detector base attached to a three-gang mud ring and a 4S square electrical box that is 2-1/8 inches deep. The signaling line circuit loops from the fire alarm control panel or previous device into terminals 1 and 2, and continues onward to the next device. Loop address terminals connect accordingly to complete the addressable fire protection circuit.
