A recessed fire sprinkler head connects to threaded branch line piping through a vertical drop nipple and a threaded tee fitting. The sprinkler head is housed within a recessed escutcheon assembly mounted flush against the ceiling finish. The ceiling material terminates cleanly at the perimeter of the sprinkler housing with a tight clearance gap.
