A four-way sway bracing assembly is attached to a metal stud wall, utilizing a Tolco Fig. 980 sway brace attachment secured with a half-inch through bolt and tightened until the break-off bolt head shears off. The brace incorporates a one-inch Schedule 40 steel pipe connected via a Tolco Fig. 1001 fast clamp, anchored to a metal stud backer within the stud wall. The brace must not be bent past ninety degrees during installation.
