A standard fire sprinkler head discharge cone maintains a four-foot vertical distance and an eight-foot total diameter. An eighteen-inch intermediate zone exists within the spray pattern. Additional sprinklers must be installed above or below any obstruction to maintain the required discharge spray pattern.
