A structural steel column is welded to a base plate resting on a concrete foundation. Anchor rods pass through the base plate and are secured with heavy hex nuts and washers above and below the plate. Additional heavy hex nuts anchor the embedded portion of the rods within the concrete. Sizing and material specifications for the column, base plate, anchors, and embedment are determined per schedule.
