A branch pipe is suspended from a structural steel beam using a Tolco Fig. 200 hanger ring and a 3/8-inch adjustable threaded rod. Lateral stability is provided by a sway brace assembly consisting of a Tolco Fig. 75 swivel attachment connected to the beam and a 3/8-inch adjustable threaded rod with a maximum length of two feet four inches attached to the pipe with a Tolco Fig. 25 or tight threaded rod connector.
