An existing wide-flange beam supports a hollow structural section column located per plan near the edge of a concrete over metal deck floor. An L5x5x1/2 angle is secured with expansion anchors to the underside of the deck. The angle and its orientation are positioned to install expansion on the deck low flute per the ICC-ESR report.
