A reinforced concrete footing supports a structural steel column secured by anchor bolts and a base plate. The concrete pad has a depth of two feet six inches and is reinforced with twelve number six bars running in the short direction and eight number six bars in the long direction, maintaining a typical three inch concrete clearance. A four inch concrete slab or topping rests above the footing.
