A concrete column and loading dock pit edge reinforced with #4 adhesive dowels spaced at 12 inches on center. The pit frame consists of an L3x3x1/4 angle with 1/2-inch diameter by 6-inch welded headed studs spaced at 12 inches on center typically. Three #4 hooked longitudinal bars are placed at the end with a 90-degree downward hook and #4 ties spaced at 6 inches on center. The pilaster is omitted where the new column does not occur.
