A stepped grade beam is cast against earth with continuous concrete reinforcement. The assembly incorporates a minimum of one number four bar at the step transition, matching typical top reinforcing where specified, and number four bars at eighteen inches minimum where no top reinforcement is otherwise called for. Typical top reinforcing and typical bottom reinforcing are provided per sections and details. Vertical dowels and stirrups maintain spacing throughout the step transition.
