A vertical pipe passes through a concrete floor slab maintaining a two-inch annular space around the pipe. Flexible couplings are positioned typically on the pipe above and below the floor, spaced a maximum of twenty-four inches from the vertical pipe supports. Vertical pipe supports anchor the pipe assembly directly to the top and bottom of the floor slab.
