A fire protection hose reel is suspended from a structural ceiling using a telescoping vertical support and subrail system. Diagonal bracing is provided in four places to stabilize the assembly against lateral movement. The hose reel, bolts, and mounting plates are supplied by the manufacturer with connection details coordinated through the architectural ceiling schedule. A typical hose reel mounting plate features specific dimensional clearances of six inches overall width with four and one-half inch and eight-inch spacing configurations.
