A longitudinal seismic brace assembly connects to the overhead structure. A Tolco Fig. 980 sway brace attachment secures a 1-inch schedule 40 steel pipe horizontal seismic brace. The break-off bolt head is tightened until sheared off. The diagonal brace is installed between forty-five and fifty-nine degrees from the vertical plane.
