This horizontal brace connection utilizes a one-half-inch thick gusset plate welded to a beam sized per plan with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. Two five-eighth-inch diameter ASTM A325N bolts connect each diagonal horizontal brace to the gusset plate. Edge clearances of two inches and one inch minimum are maintained for the bolt patterns and plate geometry.
