An HSS4x4x1/4 hollow structural section framing member connects to a sound wall post using a 3/4-inch by 6-inch by 0-foot 11-inch A36 steel end plate. The support consists of a minimum W8x28 steel sound wall post provided by the sound wall supplier. A typical 1/4-inch fillet weld secures the end plate to the HSS tube and the supporting post.
