An air sampling smoke detector apparatus and power supply are mounted to the wall above the floor slab at a height ranging from four feet minimum to five feet maximum. Rigid three-quarter-inch CPVC pipe connects to the inlet manifold, noting that adapters or pipes must not be glued directly into the manifold. Each sampling pipe includes a cleanout port equipped with an air hose quick disconnect connection and an upstream ball valve for isolation. A Unistrut channel supports the piping runs, maintaining a twenty-inch minimum clearance before any bends. Pipe labeling is required for identification.
