An HSS 6x3x1/4 louver support post is connected via two 3/8-inch by 4-inch by 0-foot 6-inch shear plates to a 1/2-inch by 10-1/2-inch by 1-foot 4-inch embed plate. The embed plate is secured to a 12-inch concrete masonry unit wall using eight 3/4-inch diameter by 0-foot 6-inch welded studs. This embed detail is identical at both the top and bottom of the post.
