An MC4x13.8 steel channel is installed tight against an existing concrete wall per plan. The channel is secured with a three-quarter-inch diameter adhesive anchor and connected to an existing wide-flange beam sized per plan using a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld at the channel to plate or wide-flange. A three-eighth-inch by two-inch by zero-foot-five-inch steel plate is welded to the channel using a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld on three sides. The assembly ties into an existing metal deck supporting an existing concrete slab.
