One-inch sprinkler piping drops down along a wall and passes through a two-inch Schedule 40 steel pipe sleeve, with the annular space caulked in a smoke-tight manner. A test valve with an identification sign branches off the vertical run, and the discharge continues through a forty-five-degree elbow and a smooth bore corrosion-resistant outlet. A splash block is positioned on the ground below the discharge point to receive the water flow from the inspector's test connection. Pipe supports are provided along the wall as required to secure the vertical sprinkler piping.
