A fire sprinkler pipe is suspended from twin roof bar joists spaced 8'-0" apart using a trapeze hanger assembly. The assembly utilizes 1-3/4" x 1-5/8" x 8'-6" Unistrut with slotted holes and a section modulus of 0.64, secured at each end to the joist bottom chords with Tolco Fig. 65 beam clamps with lock nuts and Tolco Fig. 69 retaining straps. A 3/8" all-thread rod drops from a spring nut inside the Unistrut channel to support a Tolco Fig. 2 ARH fire sprinkler pipe clamp holding the sprinkler pipe. Hex nuts and washers secure the threaded rod at the Unistrut channel.
