An RUI termination block is mounted to the side of a back box. Incoming shielded twisted pair cables for return signals from the last RUI device and outgoing signals to remote RUI devices are terminated at screw terminals designated for A-, A+, SHLD, B-, and B+. The cable shields are tied together and connected to the shield terminal for proper grounding across the fire alarm communication circuit.
